Truspire’s operations are also affected by the worldwide spread of the infection.

In Japan, we have been providing consultations on management issues to the management of IT-related companies such as software development companies and food inspection system companies. As people are required to refrain from moving and contacting people, the chances of face-to-face discussions are decreasing, but as mentor, we always try to listen carefully and support the company leaders to proceed with their business decisions with confidence.

Overseas operations are also affected by travel restrictions.
Since May 2019, we have been participating in the “JICA Asia Regional Japan Center Project (business course implementation)” and engaging in human resource development projects. The work is comprised of lectures at the Japan Center (Business Strategy, Business Plan, Consulting leader training, Production Management, SCM, Marketing, Bookkeeping, Financial Management) and management advice to various companies including food manufacturing processors, etc., but since March 2020, all operations have been switched to online.

We have been participating in JICA’s Palestinian Industry Promotion Project throughout the first phase (2017-2020) and the second phase (2020-2022) and making efforts in collaboration with Ministry of National Economy as counterpart to train officials of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in major cities in Palestine and local consultants to become competent consultants who support the industrial promotion of SMEs. For the second phase, we planned to focus on direct visits to companies and advice, but due to limited travel to the site, we are switching to online support from Japan.

We are also engaged in the project “Information Collection and Confirmation Survey on the Promotion of SMEs in Turkey” since February 2021 in the field of Production Control/KAIZEN and Financial/Accounting management.  The online open seminars were successfully made to the SMEs in August 2021.  We are scheduled to visit three cities in Turkey in November 2021 for conducting seminars and workshops and short-term onsite consultation to the SMEs, depending upon the Covid-19 situation.

“Information Gathering and Confirmation Survey on the Sudanese Export Promotion System” (February – August 2021) was the only project that allowed us to travel to the site, and we were able to carry out our work by visiting more than a dozen local companies in Khartoum and two major local cities to investigate and examine the export potential of products, and reported to the Ambassador of Japan to Sudan, the Director of JICA Sudan, the Undersecretary of Deputy Minister of Trade, the senior official of the Ministry of Industry, and the National Chamber of Commerce of Sudan, and STP (Sudan Trade Point), an executive and counterpart of the company. We have made a proposal, based on which Sudan’s export promotion policy is expected to be formulated in the future.

Since 2018, Truspire has agreed on an associate relationship with M’s Consulting Co., Ltd. and is promoting collaboration. Currently, the company is mainly participating in the human resources development projects of JICA, as an associate of Truspire, and handles seminars on marketing and consulting leader development. Excellent material creation and communication skills are highly evaluated by project operators, local staff, and seminar attendants.

Effective December 2018

Mitsuhiro Mukaiyama, our Senior Consultant and CPA (Japan), gave lectures on financial management and accounting in the seminars at Laos Banking Institute held from 13 to 17 February. 30 attended the seminar, representing the Institute’s major members such as Bank of the Lao PDR, commercial banks, Lao Securities Exchange and Lao Telecom. It was the first seminar for a LJI project consultant to give on such subjects to be addressed to the leaders of those policy making national organizations. Mukaiyama received high evaluation for his seminar.

Laos-Japan Center for Human Resources Development was established in the campus of Laos National University with Japan’s ODA in 2001 to help build mutual relationship between the two countries and develop human resources of the Lao citizens. The Center has been upgraded to LJI: Laos Japan Institute. We have worked at the Institute as lecturers and advisors in the MBA Course of the Laos National University and Practical Business Course of LJI.

KazSPO-N, one of our EBRD SMSE Project clients in Kazakhstan, was awarded Altyn Sapa (Golden Quality) Award in December 2016 for the best enterprise producing goods for the population. The Award was established by the President of Kazakhstan.　The company is an apparel manufacturer and distributor, well-known for its sportswear brand, Zibroo, the official supplier of uniforms for Kazakhstan national team in the international sports events such as 7^th Asian Games and Sochi Olympic Games.

We extend our sincerest congratulations to the great achievement of the management and the staff of KazSPO-N.

The company received advisory services of EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) EGP (Enterprise Growth Programme) from 2013 to 2015. We provided our services to KazSPO-N, assigning all Truspire consultants to the project: We have EBRD Team Co-ordinator to manage the project; we have an expert in production and quality control; we have CPA for accounting and finance; we have a marketing specialist in shop design. Truspire Co., Ltd has been engaged in the project since January 2016. Our executive officer Mr. Mitsuo Tamada, having a lot of experiences in various development projects in African countries, has been appointed for the task.

The project aims to provide KAIZEN training to Business Advisory Centre (BAC) Heads in Accra and four regions in collaboration with the project’s counterpart, National Board for Small Scale Industry

 (NBSSI). It is a department of Ministry of Trade and Industy and is responsible for SME development in Ghana.

The first phase of the project (2012-2015) was implemented in Ashanti region and the current second phase (2016-2018) is being undertaken in two parts: Advanced KAIZEN in Ashanti region and Basic KAIZEN in other three regions.  The BAC Heads in Ashanti Region are expected to supervise the Basic KAIZEN OJT sessions presented by the BAC Heads in these threee regions.

Mr. Tamada has been training the BAC Heads in Ashianti and Northern Regions in KAIZEN methodologies, Basic and Advanced, through lectures and OJT sessions for the employees at the selected enterprises. He has supervised the OJT at Sheabutter processing, furniture and brick manufacturing and roofing industry.

Basic KAIZEN focuces mainly on 5S (Sorting, Setting-in-order, Shining, Standardizing, Sustaining), 7 Wastes, QC (Quality Control) circle and basic IE(Industrial Engineering). Advanced KAIZEN includes Process analysis and control, Time Study, Factory layout improvement, Cost benefit anaysis and KAIZEN Master Plan, etc. The trainings of both Basic and Advanced KAIZEN are comprised of classroom lecturs and OJT sessions.

EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), since the collapse of the Soviet Union, has provided small and medium-sized businesses in the region with financial and managerial support, first as TAM (Turn Around Management) Programme and recently as EGP (Enterprise Growth Programme). Now since January 2016, the title of the service has been renewed as SBS – IA (Small Business Support – International advisory). The advisors have provided them on-the-site advice and industry expertise, contributing to help them improve their performance and growth.

We have been contracted by the programme, the President as TC (Team Co-ordinator) and the senior consultants as Senior Industrial Advisors, for our assistance in the areas of production and quality management, sales, marketing, management, finance and accounting. We would be pleased if our assistance would contribute to the growth of the small and medium sized businesses in the region.

The MJC trial course for JCCI (Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry) Bookkeeping Level 3 was given 5-15 January at the above center in Yangon.
The participants learned basic bookkeeping through lecture, followed by practices and tests. The course was prepared and conducted by our Senior Consultant.

Being CPA (Japan), he has been aware of the increasing demands for accounting staff with knowledge in bookkeeping and has been taking part in initiative preparing a career development course in Myanmar.

The country has been attracting more and more businesses of foreign capital, but still it is short of highly qualified human resources with knowledge and skills enough to practice at work in terms of bookkeeping or accounting field, even inventory and production control.

We have been devoted in the MJC Human Resources Development projects since November 2013, providing the local participants with the lectures on business planning, production control and finance and accounting. The new course is expected to increase business opportunities for the companies, local and foreign, and career development opportunities for the people of Myanmar.
